Mission

Hope 4 A Street Dog’s mission is to provide a resource to Playa Junquillal and surrounding communities that is staffed by volunteers and funded by generous donors. We sponsor spay/neuter clinics and we promote healthy dogs and cats through education and compassion.

A Message to the Community from our Director, Berta:

“Our main effort and goal is prevention. We focus solely and exclusively on castration and vaccination clinics in Playa Junquillal and surrounding communities.

We are a group of volunteers who do not receive a penny personally. Contrarily, we donate our time, money, and our emotions for pure love of the dogs.

Please remember that owning a dog or a cat is a labor of love that includes food and veterinary expenses. It is the owners’ obligation to bring your dog to the vet and to purchase medicine.

If your dog is sick or has an accident, please take it to a veterinarian. The volunteers of Hope 4 a Street Dog are NOT veterinarians. Remember that leaving a pet to suffer has legal repercussions towards the owner.”

“Take responsibility! Castrate and Vaccinate to Prevent and later have not Regret!”
