Its generous, screened base keeps debris from reaching the impeller, and removes water up to within 1/8" of it. Pry this screen off to check and clean the impeller, or to remove water up to 1/16". A top, threaded outlet accepts 1" MNPT fittings, and the pump includes a garden hose adapter for versatility. The top handle makes it simple to lift and check the pump for periodic maintenance, and its oil free motor can provide submerged, continuous water movement.
